I never understood it. If you have to trailer in your off road rig in then why not just build a nasty buggy with 4 wheel steering and crazy long travel? Why just leave it a semi built jeep when there are bigger options out there. Driving in your rig is half the fun and shows how well your rig is built.

I want a trailer in case I break something. Not talking about towing it to every trail but just the harder ones like the Naches area, Moab etc.. mainly since its a long drive back for a trail repair.

You should calculate how many times you'd have to get your truck towed home from Naches to justify the cost of a truck and trailer (don't forget fuel and insurance).

    And then get AAA.

I have AAA. But as Joe found out they don't cover past county maintained roads I believe it was, it was something like $50 a mile if I remember correctly. Also his truck was sitting there for at least 7+ hours before they picked it up.

I'd just carry tools and extra parts of the vulnerable things. Either way if something breaks and you're far enough up one of those trails it might be hard to even get back to your truck and trailer.

I agree, not saying you can get a truck and trailer anywhere but once you do a trail fix and get somewhere you can get the truck and trailer, then you can load it up and head straight home. Don't have to wait for AAA. It isn't for everyone, thats just why I want one.

I'm just going to stay home from now on. Too dangerous to take a truck out on the trails.:rofl::rofl:

In all seriousness though, when Mule did my springs they said my drivers UCA Uniball has a small amount of play in it. So I'll be packing stock uppers until replacement.

In WA I think Dakota is the only other ive seen trailer (but that was to Moab). In San Diego I saw a couple Tacomas being trailered. But those were setup for the SCORE series and another series i forget the name of. And 100% not tacomas i would want to ever drive on the road!

But if its road legal I wouldnt bother with a trailer personally. Assuming its also not terrible to drive on the road too. Now if it was a jeep on 44's...hell yeah id trailer it! 44's are fing expensive tires!
