If you're on IG, give us a follow as we build this truck and review and test some gear ( overland_nc ).

    image.jpg

So I traded my 2016 4x4 Limited today for a 2017 TRD OR. Everyone likes to know what others are paying so... I purchased the truck in November for $36,900 and today the dealer gave me $34,000 in trade (15,790 miles) and I bought the 2017 TRD OR (premium/tech, locking tailgate, predators, etc.) for $36,950.

    Build date was 08/2016.

I already swapped over my ARE Z-series and Front Runner Outfitters canopy rack and will install the cab rack this weekend.

Build plans are minimum. ARB Summit bar, lights, gray Pro wheels, warn m-8000s, OME 886 lift, and eventually some rock sliders. We also have an Engel 40qt and ARB slide to install.

We started the IG page just for fun. We're a family oriented group and will post pics and reviews as we go along.

    None...yet!
Just curious, what was it about the Limited that made the TRD Off Road appealing? Or was it the other way around? :)

Build looks off to a great start!

I had an appointment to install an ARB rear locker and compressor... Total was $1600... Dealer offered me $34k. So basically I got a locker and new truck for about $1300 over what I planned for the locker in my 16'.

Also it's basically the same truck minus the leather and sub. I'll add the sub back and possibly leather later.

Ahh gotcha. Never been there myself. Been through Winston Salem plenty of times though headed to the mountains. I'll be passing through next weekend as well for a short trip out to Asheville area. I'll be heading back to Linville Gorge for some scenery again. I'm outside of Jacksonville for now.

How it sits with 86-miles on it. Swapped the Predators for some "Shark" running boards. I'll order some sliders in the future but these should function for the time being. For anyone's reference the Predator steps lowest point sits 2-inches lower than the Shark running boards.

Well I used (2) ARB wiring kits to hook up my Engel MT45 and a Bluesea USB. Still trying to decide on where to mount the plugs... Any thoughts? One for the Fridge and the other for the USB.

Northstar AMG is also on the way to help run the fridge, winch and lights.

Also the ARB 37-50qt slide works perfectly with the Engel. Same for the tie downs.

Curious, on your 2017 does the entire rear window slide or just the center section.

Center section only. Wish they would add the same setup as the Tundra or 4Runner.
