That's pretty sweet. Does it use the factory fog lights? Aluminum?

My Fluid Film used to weep from the box sections of the frame on hot days. I absolutely LOADED the frame with it.

I lost a pair of gloves and a shirt when I did the lift on my truck because of FF. I need to get on top of doing on the new one before I get it too dirty underneath. It really works well though, I was quite pleased with it.

You think if I spray it on an already rusted frame it would make any difference? haha

In theory it should choke the rust from oxygen, slowing it down, but you'd have to get great coverage on both sides.

Do you have the spray gun kit?

I don't know what it costs @ Amazon, but I buy my gallons @ Grainger. I actually need to buy a new spray gun kit since mine is a little damaged. Kellsport is the place to go. I need to relocate the AC drain as I already have some surface rust because Toyota has the foresight to drain the AC condensate line into the frame. I did it on the old one and didn't even think to do it on the new one on Day 1.

How did I miss all this and the innuendo? Oh yeah I was busy trying to get banned in the other thread

Soooooo this stuff works really well. But don't get it done right before you're able to install anything underneath the car....

They spray it on really thick, it doesn't turn yellow, they spray in the frame too, and I touched up areas here and there through the winter with cosmoline weathershed

What Jason saw wasn't even the worst of it. James and I looked like we had delivered twins when we did my sliders. I had to gojo all my tools

Pretty much don't do it if you ever want to work on the truck again.

I had Fluid Film weeping out of my doors every hot day for the whole summer. I put nearly a gallon on my truck every season though.

I don't have a spray gun... is it electric or air compressor powered? I only have a small crappy harbor freight pancake compressor.....

They use something else at nh oil, don't know what it's called but it isn't fluid film. They sell it there. I've never had it weeping out of the truck anywhere. After the salt was gone I got an undercarriage wash

It's air. You'd have to check the CFM requirements compared to your compressor. I've got a 2.5 HP HF compressor that has worked wonders for me and was reasonably cheap. My compressor, well worth the $$$. I can break axle nuts loose with it. My impact gun. Again, not a professional tool, but I did an entire suspension, a bumper install and multiple tire removals with it without issue (and I torque my lug nuts to 75 ft-lb every time I change them).

I have a 2010 and I had my truck in for the leaf springs recall and there was a TSB for the cat and front end of the exhaust...they replaced it all because of a chance of failure/corrosion.

Here is someone else discussing it...
