    I also prefer the comforts of a hotel, that definitely increases the cost. I can adjust those estimates as we decide on things too just to help everybody have an estimated budget.

    ~4000 miles round trip
    @ 16mpg average
    = 250 gallons
    @ $2.50 average/gal
    = $625 gas just for trip.

    Hotel (8 nights) = ~120$/night = $960
    (this is if we stay in a hotel every single night)

    Gas at MOAB = ?? let's just say another $200?

    Food: Average 30$/day (10$/meal) for 9 days = $270

    so total there is about $2,055? estimates obviously...

    Will keep this on the first page and update as we agree/figure out more costs or savings. Y'all help me out here.

    I'm in. I've been out there before a couple of times but never with my Tacoma. I can say that a properly equipped 2WD can run with the big boys out there on most of the trails. My first Tacoma was a 87' single cab 4x4 and on the trip out to Moab my 4wd quit working so I didn't have it the whole time and was able to get through pretty much everything with careful lines and some momentum.
