According to Toyota of greenville (my top commercial account for my store) toyota does "goodwill" work all the time for customers. Prob varies from yota to yota dealer.

 

Can attest to this...I've had "goodwill" work done on my FJ in the past and on my Tacoma recently.

 

Back when it was a Pig Wig, it was fantastic. When the place went into the gutter, they changed it to a Price Wise.

 

It's not really in an ideal location.

 

A combination of that and smart customer service/sales. $13,000 frame swap is a whooooole lotta goodwill though, especially given that the only apparent problem with my frame was user generated.

 

That's what it's looking like it'll come down to. But to do it right wouldn't I need a donor frame to cut a section off of?

 

Right beside it is a multi-million dollar hospital operations center.

 

If the frame isn't bent there is one that was wrecked on Charlotte CL. I posted a link to it recently thinking about getting the 4wd parts out of it. Lemme see if I can find it again.

Ooooh, I might be able to get the tailgate and rear cross sill....

 

I talked to the guy on the phone about the 4wd parts and he didn't know how much he wanted for them, so keep that in mind if you pursue anything from him!

 

Fair enough. The tailgate I can see him trying to go high on, but how many people want the cross sill and a chunk of frame?

And it'd have to be a lot cheaper than Toyota wants for them regardless

 

If someone wants one in cola.. but can't meet today you can drop it at my new house in cola and I can meet up with someone

 

Call him up and be like, "Hey, I want to buy part of your frame. No, just part of it... I'll cut it myself."
