Yep. I went with this kit, which was all either genuine Toyota or OE manufacturer parts. Went in slick as snot and haven't had any trouble with it since.

Moving or removing? As long as you line up all the arrows and shit it's not a bad job. They all can be moved independently from each other. I didn't remove mine to replace the seals because mine looked fine.

Thanks I just measured the width of the bed and then found how tall it needed to be to clear cab and then decided how far over the cab I wanted it to go. The crossbars are spaced out 10 inches and I made it with 1 1/2 inch square tubing 1/8 thick.

    I didn't remove mine. My seals weren't leaking, so I didn't bother.

As for the job, it isn't that complicated, just tedious and time consuming. I've never done engine work in my life before this year, and I did mine over the course of a weekend. Truck runs great. These engines are really easy to work on, lots of room, fairly intuitive. They're laid out the way you imagine an engine will be laid out, unlike a lot of the newer transaxle engines. Buy a Haynes manual, download the service manual, watch some YouTube videos, take it nice and slow, don't be afraid to stop everything and come on the board and ask stupid questions, you'll be fine.

That's is true these 5vz engines are amazingly simple to work on. I'll be doing this in a couple of weeks. When I have time from work

Over the lap? Do you mean up over the bed rails? Mine is sprayed over the top of the bed rails and about half an inch down the outside, and I don't think it looks ugly. I would just make sure they keep a perfectly straight edge when they mask it, because if it were ragged it would look like hell.

Mine too. I like the look of the rubber on the box top rails.

I went a quarter inch over the rails, I think it lokoks really clean. Plus i actually use my bed so the added protection is a cool perk

It really does protect those bed side tops. I use my bed as saw horses all the time.
