Ive only had mine for less than a week and i have barely driven it because ive been home on vacation. So last night i customiEd my dash readouts to show me the average trip mpg, which i think is the most useful mpg tracking...thing.

Did a quick 2.5 mile trip around the neighborhood driving the speed limit and testing out ECT power on the main road. Did a couple slow starts from stops and a couple of more aggressive starts. When i got back to my driveway the trip showed 16.4 mpg and im confident it wouldve kept creeping up if i went around the blcok again. I consider that trip to be mainly city type driving as there were many stop signs, with only about .5 mile worth of staightaway.

Looking forward to taking it on my commute which is mostly highway. Around 16 miles of highway driving. My mindset when driving a pickup is completely different than when im driving a small quick car like my old GTI or Abarth. Those cars begged to be driven fast. Especially the abarth since you had to get it past 3000 rpm for the turbo to really spool. But those cars also handled like they were on rails. I have no interest in doing 80 on the highway in my truck. So with that said i think i should be able to see 20mpg on my commute if not more.

Ran some errands yesterday. Using the trip average mpg guage i managed 18mpg on the trip to the gym which is all back streets with stop signs every couple blocks.

Then got 26mpg on a home depot run that consists of mostly parkway. And 22mpg on the way back, so im guess winds played a factor. Either way im happily meeting the epa estimates.

I get 20 all day everyday average no matter what I do it seems (2016 trd sport ext cab manual 4x4).

I can see 25 if its a flat 55 mph drive or I can see as low as 16 for a quick trip up and down hills.

These are fine numbers for a truck, right inline with expectations, though I'd trade a few mpg's if it meant I could have more low end torque!

After 8k miles and the TSB completed, I'm averaging just over 20 mpg per tank of mixed driving. 40 mile round trip daily commute on the highway and stop and go the rest around town on evenings and the weekends.

I am averaging 17.7 with 3,000 miles on her so far. TRD Sport, 4X4, Access Cab. In the higher horsepower Inferno color. Oh, and BFG KO2's one size bigger than stock.

What the hell. City driving (just rolled 200 miles) and I'm getting between 10 and 14 for my trips. Driving like a gramma during my first 1000 miles. Highest I've gotten was DOWNHILL ON A HIGHWAY at 18mpg.

Starting to think something might be wrong, but It's also so new I don't really know what to think. Seems really low just for the "new factor" to be the reason.

It will improve some with time. If you are 4x4 6mt then don't expect much. I average around 18 with mixed use. Highway I might get 19-20 if I am lucky.

Never trust the in dash MPG meter. Do the math for real.

My boss' Tundra tells him he's getting 18 when he's really getting 10-12.

I have compared my dash to the real math and it is always .1 or 2 off. It is fairly accurate.

Mine is accurate enough. When I fill it all the way up, as in I put 2.5 gallons in after it kicks off and runs out, it's always low by about .5-1.0 mpg. I did a 38.5 mile trip one way and got 24.6 and returned a couple hours later and got 25.9 which is the best I have ever done and was on country roads here in the Ozarks. Normally my trips are only 15 miles to work, unless I'm going to visit family several hundreds of miles away. This is about 1600 miles after my trans update where initially I lost 1-2 mpg, but it has slowly gone back up to where it was before the update. When I drive normal, I get a solid 20 mpg at all times, and by normal, I don't baby it around.

31 psi in my Offroad, but those goodyears only weight like 35lbs, so super light for a truck tire.
