The weather reports say T Storms for the Coachella valley Palm Springs / Palm Desert regions . It's a 0% chance of rain or T Storms in my area still though

    It's 98 degrees 19% humidity here right now !!

The Blue Cut fire is still burning but not as bad as it has been . They've got it at 26% containment / 37k acres and it's burning to the North into the Mt Baldy wilderness area

Here's a map of the Blue Cut fire and shows the area burned . If you look at the bottom of the map outside the Orange are you will see yellow lines that intersect

The (2) lines are the 15 fwy (left side) and 215 fwy (right side) . Follow the 215fwy about a 1/18th inch down and that's where I live . Now you can see how close I was to the fire

Under 10% is Red Flag condition/warnings or severe fire weather . 19% as its currently is still dry but is slowing the fire down . During the night it's as high as 25% humidity or slightly higher

Yep it's dry , a glass bottle laying in the dried brush can act like a magnifying glass on the dried out vegetation

79% humidity here now.....It's been higher in the last few days. So much rain here lately you probably couldn't start a fire outside.

Currently high level of sadness in the house. We may be having our oldest dog put down shortly. She's not responding to her meds....(K9 Addisons disease) 14-1/2 years, you get rather attached. She's in pain and yet trying to make me feel better. Gonna give the meds a little while longer, but she isn't going to suffer because I can't let go.....

Baby has quit crying, which is dog language for "I'm not hurting". She's still not very active, but she may be responding to meds. Vet said to also double up on the steroid she takes. She's trying to wag her tail too. I'm planning on staying up with her all night if she doesn't start acting like her old self before long. We know her time is short. She's been medicated for Addisons for more than 4 years. Vet told us when we first started with the shots 4 years ago to not expect more than a couple good years. She's a fighter. Vet gave me his cell and told me to call no matter what time if we needed him. babyatfireplace.jpg

    Picture was 2 years ago.
