So I don't see many people doing this on the Tacoma. Is there an issue with flipping the shackle vs a new pack, block or AAL?

Typically you will see people who run shackle flips because they are at the point with different leafs that the stock shackle setup is limiting them. Personally there would be NO point to a shackle flip on a stock leaf pack of any modification (aal block etc) as they just dont flex enough to need it.

For example my good buddy went to all pro standard leaf pack from his original dakars. Then went and installed 12inch stroke 2.0 remote resi kings and bamf relocation brackets at which point the stock shackles were limiting droop. Shackle flip put in place with stock length shackles netted full use of the downtravel of the leafs. This also allowed him to next run lift shackles to get more uptravel before hitting bumpstop to help out in the whoops (which it did ALOT).

With the 12" stoke Kings are the leaf springs or the shocks the limiting factor for down travel now? I have the same all pro springs and am hoping to go that same route (BAMF relocation and Archive shackle flip with 1" of lift) just trying to figure out all the specs for the shocks that I'll need as I might order a custom set of Icons to match my coilvoers and I don't want to mess that up haha

Pretty sure my buddy is running right around 1 or 1.5in lift shackles and shackle flip with the all pro standards, He gets FULLL use of the shock now but its not to the point where there is like tons of travel left on the leaf and nothing on the shock, hes pretty much matched for downtravel on the leaf and shock. Its a sweet setup now.
