I am thinking about losing the mudflaps, all they do is get hung up on curbs, and changing out the stereo for something better. Any suggestions on a new receiver under 200.00?

Great looking truck. Sure do like those wheels. If you ever want to sell them or know where I can find a set, please let me know!

Hmmm? I noticed no passenger side airbag lockout thing on the dash under the passenger side AC vent, is this common to double cabs or did they just take it away at some point for some reason? And what the hell is that center console thing in the back seats? A child seat of some sort or mounting plate for some sort of child seat that you unclip and walk away with? Nice looking truck.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
all DCs are like that... they figure there's no reason to put a baby seat in the front if you have a regular back seat... plus the passenger seat has the weight sensitive airbag switch.

Hmm... and a fold flat seat in a DC? weird...

Then why would I have child seat security brackets on the passenger side floor & top of rear passenger seat of my access cab? I hear ya on the weight sensitive thing for the front seat but still not gettin why they'd just eliminate that option for double cabs. Doesn't make sense.

Sorry if a stupid question, but I was wondering what makes it a Texas edition besides the badging? Are there any other accessories from the dealer that aren't available elsewhere?
I've seen the Nissan Titan Texas edition but again didn't see anything different about it other than badging. Is this common for trucks in Texas to get a special edition?
I noticed the exhaust and rims are different along with steps and darker tint, but figured those were just mods done after purchase.

It is a base for a child seat.

20" rims, borla exhaust, tube steps, interior door protectors, badging, it also comes with air raid air filter, I think this was put on with the exhaust.

not this model year, I think the earlier ones came with leather

Access cab have the passenger airbag switch because Toyota designed it in a way that you can place a baby seat there instead of the cramped quarter behind the seat. Probably found it is safer in the front passenger seat instead of behind them. With the double cabs there should never be a child seat in the front seat therefore no need to place a airbag disable switch. Car seats fit fine and are easy to use in the back seats of a double cab.

This is the reason I sold my 98 taco access cab and got the double cab. I liked the idea of carrying around my 10 mo. old boy in the back seat rather than the front seat. I loved that 98!

Either way, doesn't make sense not to have the option is all I'm gettin at. I fully understand the safety & placement of child car seats. Dealt with those having twins & that's just another question of why allowances aren't made for multiple car seats. You might want a baby in passenger side front & passenger side rear ( in either AC or DC trucks) AND be able to lock out airbag so you have access to both kids without having to reach blindly behind the driver seat. Options....it's all about options.

As far as I Know it's the same package that's marketed as the "TSS edition" elsewhere.
