I'm having someone else do it. That's out of my skill level. But now you have me thinking...is it really worth it.

No hurt feelings, I just want facts and that's what you have. so you are just running a shackle flip kit and longer shocks?

The biggest obstacle most of the time is the additional parts cost. If you're not breaking the bank having someone do it, go for it. While they're welding on your truck you should also get your LCA cam tabs done up front.

Welcome to suspension modding. When I re-did my lift with the ICON stuff it took me almost 8 months to get every single part I needed/wanted since I don't want to take anything apart again except for maintenance.

I do love having all the space back in my garage though haha

Bingo! However that is a royal PITA. But something that can be done with merely blood sweat and cussing. No welder needed. And to me, it gives the highest yield with lowest cost. The only trade off is you will lose some payload capacity.

What was the toughest part? I did longer rear bilsteins and the lower shock mount was too narrow for the shock eyelet. Did you have the same issues?

Im guessing from when @spithead051 was trying to get the studs out for his air bumps.. the shackle has the same mounting studs/weld thing

Yeah but no sense in blindly throwing money at things. Good way to have a lot of money in a truck that cant outperform a stock one.

Yeah, fuck those studs. An hour with an air hammer and I barely put a dent in one of the eight I needed to remove. Danny took quick care of them for me :D

Im not thinking about this stuff yet.. luckily. Also, isnt the driver skills part of it?

Ive been slowing down on buying the big stuff. On my short list, Ive got a winch, brake lines, CB, and bump stops.
