$40 for two runs so it may be a good time to just see what happens?

You do bring up a good point. I'm not familiar with their closed/open loop systems. I would assume with the ECU it would compensate with a higher O2 count (aftermarket intake) by leaning out the engine which may negate any gains, that is without a tune.

One would have to see the sensor data between the O2 sensors, MAF sensor and fuel map to see what the correlation is and with toyota locking down the ECU it's not easy to see the fuel map data and one would have to rely on their fuel mileage as an overall indicator of performance gains.

I won't lie...I've been wanting to get back into a Tacoma but after the Subaru and its power as well as the open ECU for tuning I'm finding it harder and harder to go back. I managed 26.1 MPG for 6300 miles between VA-Seattle-VA and I could hold it in 6th gear through the hills of Montana and West Virginia and she had plenty of power to maintain speed as well as pass slower traffic.

Just got the confirmation, my afe is on it's way. Yesterday it ssid not till the 31st., but it shipped today. Hoping for some bit of performance gain to negate some of what I lost with the lift. Either way, I love the 16, and how it's turned out! I doubt I will be disappointed, I will know soon.20160603_204731.jpg

Looks like I found the AFE 51-76005 intake for $285 shipped to my door brand new. I think I'm going pull the trigger. Has anyone found it cheaper than that?

I was an out of state Craigslist score, guy agreed to ship, I sent the PayPal payment. Hopefully it's worth the money. I have realistic expectations in terms of performance gains, would be nice to pick up 1-2 mpg at the same time.

After the discount they gave me and the $50 rebate mine will have been $311. It is supposed to come with the filter and the optional scoop. If both of those come with it I would say that is a really good deal.

I ordered mine yesterday off AutoAnything. I did chat on AutoAnything, mentioned their 20% discount code didn't work, knowing it doesn't apply to AFE.....I asked what is best price, chat dude sold it to me for $382.50 delivered. Plus there is a $50 rebate from AFE, which I printed out, mailed in yesterday.
Then later in the day I got a message from AutoAnything that my shipment was delayed until Sept. 9.
    Bummer.
Then I woke up this morning and got a message from AutoAnything that my AFE Momentum has shipped via FedEx.....will be here next Wednesday, August 24.
    Excited!
I also went in yesterday for my 5000 mile maintenance.......I brought a copy of that TSB transmission thing.....talked to the service person, no doubt they have had others, started questioning me about what was the problem....she asked was it just when in cruise control......I said nope, it's on the lower end and top end, down shifts etc.....so no real resistance to getting it done......that is suppose to happen next Wednesday.
For the AFE, I'll do a video of the sound.....and any observations etc.
Thanks to who posted the AFE dyno chart!
A little more punch and a little more sound grumble.....will see.

I also had put the MagnaFlow Cat-Back exhaust on mine. So if nothing else it should sound pretty good! Lol

Do you mean 382? Because 282 would be way more than 20% even. Because it was listed for 425. They discounted me to 361.

If it doesn't include the air filter which hopefully it does for you. They are around a hundred bucks.
