Went for my first complimentary oil change today at 10k. And the sticker says next oil change in another 5k. Why the change to 5k? Took me 4 months to hit 10k il be getting them every 2 months if it's 5k now

That's just the standard sticker, you're due for a check and inspect in 5k

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

Im not going to make 10k this year. Service department told me in 6 months I can come in for the first oil change. We will see. I drive less then 5 miles to work. Anybody put less the 10k a year?

Makes total sense now. Thanks. I drive about 80-100 miles a day for work and 300 on weekends if there's waves.

Mine did the same. I suspect your dealer just wants to make more money. The 15k service is not covered as part of the free Toyota care. The Manual, as you know, says 10k oil change under normal circumstances

If you're paying for it the recommendation is 5K. If Toyota is paying for it its every 10K

My 16' service was at 5k but that didn't include the oil change. The oil change was at 10k. When I bought the 17' last night they said oil change is at 5k now.

I'm the same way. I'll maybe put on 7-8k this year and that's with a 2k mile roadtrip I took. No way I'm gonna go 10k between changes. I'll just stick to my usual once per year change.

That news to me Toyota care covers all Maintenance through 25000 miles every 5/10/15/20/25k mile the tires get rotated and fluids checked. at 10/20k miles the oil changed, tires rotated and fluids checked. I'm not sure who told you the 15000 was not covered. One thing that is not covered at 15' that I feel should be is the Pollen filter should be replaced, Toyota says 30'. If you wait until 30' you'll be lucky to have any air flowing through it. Just changed the wifes at 18' and it was nasty dirty.

Someone messed up, you have a 4 cylinder and should have had your oil changed at 5k. 10k is for 6 cylinders. If your sig is correct.

I don't get no where near it. Dealer told me once a year on the oil changes. I have had my truck 9 months and just turned over 2800 miles. Would not have that many but I have moved twice since February.

Ok, I thought the 2.7 used dino oil, hence my 5k interval thought.

They don't check all fluids though because checking all fluids technically would mean they check transmission, differentials, transfer case, etc. and I can promise you they aren't doing all that
