Suspension advise needed

    So I've put a lift on my TRD OR DC and I'm not happy with the rear suspension. Front is awesome with Icon coilovers and Camburg control arms. Deaver 10 leafs and Bilstein shocks in the rear. When I hit anything substantial at speed the front soaks it right up but the rear kicks like an angry mule.
    My thoughts are either the springs are too stiff and maybe I should remove a leaf or 2, or do I just need better shocks? What say the TW experts?
    FYI, I have Icons and 7 leaf deavers on my 04 and it soaks up the desert like a champ! Trying to get a similar ride out of my 2016.

    Stock bilsteins? They suck. Get some OME or fox.

    Agree with the above suggestions. I just recently upgraded my stock shocks to bilstein 5100s all around and I love em.

    This is the same shock as I have on the 04 which is why I'm wondering if the springs are too stiff

    5100's are valved the same as stock OR shocks

    So why do the 5100s work so well on my 04 and not on the 2016? There is a night and day difference between the two

    More weight does not seem to help. I'm still leaning toward the springs being too stiff

    Icon the rear if you want it to ride similar to your '04.
    Deaver's are longer, so...
    How does your shackle angle look compared to stock? Still have movement in compression? Any binding?

    When you say Icon the rear are
    you talking shocks or springs? The Deavers were real spendy and I'd rather not pitch them if I don't have to

    Here's a pic of the rear shackle. Not sure how that compares to stock but you may be on to something

    This makes a lot of sense based on how it feels when I hit a bump or dip. So how do I fix this? Longer shackles might help and that would lower the rear which would be fine as the ass end is about an inch higher than it needs to be. What do you think splitbolt?

    Not much room for longer shackles.
    I believe tension shackles looses height with longer shackles; 1/2 of your increased shackle length.
    It will allow it to travel further, affecting shock travel...
    It's going to mess with the pinion angle too.
