Better to ask what I have not done.
I could not find anything that said anything about that but if it's not I can always go to a oilless filter and be able to wash it and creeks are back at camp whenever and we we and creeks are back at camp whenever I'm wheeling.

Has anyone running the new Safari Snorkel measured the diameter of the pipe where the hood attaches? I want to know if Donaldson has a pre-cleaner that will fit this one? Also wondering about the diameter of the rest of the snorkel... I read on a different thread that the airflow snorkel had a much larger diameter than the Hilux Safari, but this new one looks way bigger in photos than either of those two.

Some stick on chrome from pep boys
I have the McNeil fenders and I'm thinking of trying a 1st gen Safari snorkel and just bringing the rest of the duct work inside the fender.

If dust is the problem, just put a piece of an old t-shirt over the air filter or over the intake (harder to reach)

One layer of cloth blocks the big things like leaves, bugs, sand. Etc. And NO it won't restrict air flow if you pull it off and trash it after a dirty expedition.

WD-40 works great for black plastics and getting rid of wax on black plastics. I've been using it for years on everything from black VW fender moldings to the black moldings around fenders on the Mini Coopers. Also used it on the black plastic moldings on my Santa Fe when I had it. Also works great for removing tar from your body panels. Currently I use it on the black mirrors, and door handles of my SR5.

Airflow looks better, costs less and was designed for our trucks too.

    Group buy on now
