image000000.jpg doesn't look so bad in the picture, but no power steering so I fought the truck the whole way to the parking lot. It's mainly the passenger side I'll get a close up tomorrow though.

Yeah, I can see some problems there. Gotta pay to play though, right? So how did it happen?

Coming down a muddy Hill and couldn't stop got in a bad set of ruts and smoked a tree doing about 10 or 15 mph. No power steering but I have fluid in the reservoir. My guess is in the rack I stripped the gears and stretched something internal by the way the tires are sitting.

I did ONE in my life. On my tombstone some day they'll be able to say "He did ONE body lift".

    Never again.

The longest weekend of my life followed by the worst destruction of a Jeep CJ I've ever seen. Ripped sheet metal on the body mounts. Constant issues with steering column. Clutch linkage problems on average once a week. All for 2" of "cheap lift". I'd rather change front struts with just a Cresent wrench and a rubber mallet than I would to go through that ordeal again.

Speaking of which.....I MAY be able to swing a trip your way next Saturday. I won't know for a couple days yet. Let me know if you're still on for a roof rack swap. I'll let you know as soon as I can if Saturday will happen or not. I'm sorta at the mercy of my wife on this one.

I heard some of their new album on Friday. Sounds like early Metallica! Listened for a while then had to go watch Beavis & Butthead DVD!

I had the pleasure of seeing a Metallica cover band play out here in the sandbox on Friday night. They're called Battery- Masters of Metallica and I was pleasantly surprised with them. Also thought it was cool that this was their 5th trip to this deployed location. They were pretty damn good and a super cool group of guys.

They built a new stadium in Minnesota, and metallica "opened" it last night and pandora was streaming the show live on that special station.

What's the likelihood of getting the bed drawers down to Knoxville before October? I can provide beer (or whatever else?) as compensation. I'm picking up my softopper on the coast in October while I'm down for a wedding. Trying to time things right and have everything in the truck so we can have mod day.

I'll be in Nashville Next weekend, and the weekend of the 9th and if he can meet me there either weekend then I can bring them to Knox. I may be making a trip to bowling green the weekend of the 9th for LS fest and if I do, we could probably work out something that weekend of bowling green would work better? @Utah Off-roader
