It's less Tacoma and more mod
True, true. Although I can clearly see where he stops and picks up again on either side of the tubing. But dual shield is super effective for this stuff for sure and the penetration and weld height seems great.

But sliders are neither high production nor thick steel. Along with really any offroad shop.

    Opposite.

It makes a huge amount of slag. If done right, the slag chips off in large, intact pieces.

Once chipped off, you are left with the smooth, bright weld that you see above.

    @Wyoming09

You got a chance to chime in on the type of welding used on the above sliders?

I'm a skilled amateur welder, but am only 90% sure that was dual shield used to weld them up.

I'm not losing my mod money over a bet on welding type. If you're right, you win bragging rights.

    Someone will chime in soon.

Haha. I'm interested to find out, I'm no welding expert and definitely not a MIG expert, 90% of my welding has been tig.

They're high production in the sense that they normally ship within a couple of days instead of weeks like most vendors on here.

@traxman25 Adam what type of wire do you use on sliders? TW wants to know!

    Call and ask.!!

We could go back and forth all day.

It could very well be pulsed mig with hardwire

Then spray transfer with the correct gas mix

Then one never knows myself I can`t see running a dual shield wire unless the welder was already setup and he just needed to get this set out the door.

The fast shipping time may mean they are built as ordered while others wait till they have 10 or 20 or the magic number to get a great price on X amount of tube and free delivery

    That's no fun!

Figured you'd know right off hand. I guess we wait 'til Monday when they open up.

Well 4xI are already the least expensive sliders in all of the interwebs...

Honestly I'm not sure why people buy other shops sliders unless they want something other than round tube construction.

I miss the mountains too. Lived in CA for over 25 years. Florida is a bit flat.
