Looks like a great time. I'd probably need a set of paddles for my truck.

This was just the mini area where a group gathered to watch jumping. Wasn't very crowded. Plenty of obstacles elsewhere in the dunes. Should have came out. So much fun.

Alex ( @ntydog13 ) , after riding in your LT I'll never be satisfied in the dunes. I needs one! Thanks again to all for a great time. Way too short a trip.

Just got home, man am I beat. GPS took me across the 166 east which was almost 100 miles of being out the middle of practically nowhere. Not even a gas station for nearly 60 miles of it. Bummed I didn't stay on the 101/154 to get lunch in Solvang with some of you guys, oh well

That recovery this morning was an experience haha, red 2wd Dodge Ram somehow made it pretty far out into the dunes and got stuck in a bowl. Took 3 trucks (Denny, Mike and Steve) to pull him out of the bowl and onto the flat part of the dune, where he got stuck again. So Denny and Steve pull him back and tell him to reverse and go back the way he came to get to camp, but he doesn't get enough momentum and gets stuck a third time. I let one of them hitch a ride back to camp with me and they eventually got a Jeep with a winch to pull their truck. Why they ventured out alone, in a 2wd Ram with low profile tires and no cell phones is beyond me lol. Nick got some good pictures of it that I'm excited to see...

Had a great time with everybody. The sand was fun as hell. Nothing like I thought it was going to be. It's a rough ride.

Oh, apparently those kids that got their 2wd Ram stuck said they asked that giant, green military-looking tow truck how much it would cost to get them towed out of that dune...they were told it would cost $500

I know right? I should clarify, by 'out of the dune' I mean out of it and all the way back to camp. They had somehow made it out pretty far into the dunes, especially considering how easily they kept getting stuck when we were there.

Still, that's crazy expensive. Yet I'm sure that guy probably makes a decent living just cruising around out there every day lol.

Hey guys. Apologies for being so distant and just taking it did this morning. As soon as I woke up I found out my little brother died last night. Kind of took the desire to chill or wheel out of me. Had a great time though. Thanks!

So incredibly sorry to hear that Alex, I can't even imagine what that must feel like. If there's anything at all that I can do to help, let me know.
