    You will always want it sideways unless you run more than one (which unless you are doing some crazy overland trips you don't need more than one). Going up obstacles thats the only thing I hit and it pisses me off.

    Yup, doesn't stick out nearly as far. Also have him mount it up higher. Mine sits like this and I hit it all the time. On my next swing out Im going to have it taller so my spare tire and jerry can are about 4" higher than they are now, it'll look a lot like the CBI swing outs.

    Ohh yeah its annoying. Last time I went up this rock ledge one of the jeep guys watching heard me hit it or my bumper and was like "ohh shit!! Thats gotta hurt!" my friend yelled back saying its a 1/4" steel bumper its made to be hit like that, after that he didn't say anything
