I usually catch and fillet! :hungry:
I do C&R quite a few fish though, should start eating those darn stripers. They are pretty good if the red meat is removed from the fillets.

 afternoon boys... Hope you are all having a fun day.

     went in for my eye appointment this morning and there was NO ONE there!!!!:rant::rant::rant::rant: Seems the doc had quit the end of July and there is no one there on weekends. Guess they called everyone who made their appointment over the phone, but not online  Now to find another place to get my eyes checked... So, I wandered the mall and got my ears pierced again. Been meaning to do it since my sister died, just....... don't know why. But finally did it today. Got her birthstone.

It's amazing that they can't figure out technology and notify everyone. Ugh.

Sometimes you need to do something that helps put context around an emotional event - good for you on the ear piercing!! I know Lynn struggled when she lost her youngest brother a few years ago - sorry you lost your sister.

I am going to do something similar with the upcoming 15th anniversary of 9/11 - not ear piercing...but you never know. ;) I'm scheduled to go in for my second tattoo on September 10th. This one will be an eagle and US flag design that commemorates my 9/11 experiences. I hope this will put an end to the nightmares that creep in every year as the anniversary approaches. It's time.

Thanks. Sorry to Lynn on the loss of her youngest brother.

I forgot you were there. I can't imagine what any of you guys went through. From the pics and video's I know it was horrible. Hope the tattoo lessens your nightmares.

I hope to do some fishing in MT on my up coming trip to ID, MT, MN starting Labor Day weekend, visiting Aunts and Uncles in MN. 9/11 was my late moms birthday, won't be forgetting it anytime soon.
Back for a day from clearing out my moms place in NV with my brother and s-i-l. Got an offer from a couple on moms place, need to see if the bank they are using appraises it close to the offer. Escrow would close 9-30. It was hot there in NV, upper 90's.

Well this was an interesting weekend, left Sat morning for a three hour ride to Bristol tn. for the Nascar race and spend time with my two brothers. Well it decided to rain after we got to the track, they got in 48 laps of 500 and then called it a wash out. We were soaked and cold by the time we got back to the car which got stuck in the mud.
Came home this morning and half way home we came to a stop on the interstate (81), don't know what the details were but according to the CB a motorcycle rider went down hard. Called in the Lifeguard Helicopter to take him to hospital. A 1 hour delay, but my thoughts and prayers were for the rider and his family.
Now I sit in my recliner watching the race and occasionally see the stands and my $120 seat. My older brother lives near the track and is there now.
Good news the Tacoma made it a good ride and averaged 21.3 mpg, it just passed the 12,000 mile mark on the way home.

Yes its pretty normal Carl, interstate 81 seems to have more wrecks then Bristol Motor Speedway. People are to distracted and in way too much of a hurry.

I was in Asheville two weeks ago, drove 81 much of the way in each direction. I'll take 81 every day of the week over I-95 or I-84. We went to Cape Cod last week; I've refused to take I-95 at all for several years, and I think I may add I-84 to the list of "never again" highways. Too many cars in general, and too many of them being driven by people with no idea how to drive among other vehicles. Some of it may be distracted driving but I think most of it is simple stupidity.

Unfortunately read today the Motorcycle rider (from S.C.) had lost control of his 1975 Harley merging onto I81 traffic and slid into the side of a camper being pulled behind a truck, he did not survive long enough to make it to the hospital.

I don't envy you folks "back east" with the traffic and other emerging issues. I just have to deal with forest fires. I get upset if I can't park in front of the store I want to shop at, hate to walk a block. :)

My wif and I really miss the lack of traffic we enjoyed while living in Wyoming. Exception being the tourist season - that is when all those wahoo drivers from the Interstates try on the wilderness......

We don't miss the 9 months of winter there but the Taco could probably deal with that - no problem. You all would just die to see the 20 unlocked pick-ups idling in the grocery parking lot while the drivers shop and visit.

I was in Pinedale, WY a few years ago to go backpacking into the Wind River Range. Left western Nevada where I worked at 10AM, crawled into my sleeping bag a few miles from Pinedale at midnight. Had breakfast the next AM in town. Drove thru town, found where all the pickups were parked and had breakfast there, only one in the place with shorts on, dressed to go bping. ATV's driving down the streets when I left to go home. Cool.
