    @HolyHandGrenade each brand flip is a little different. The 4xinnovations kit I have claims 3/4" lift but it had enough adjustability that I could tune the lift out of it. Just my preference

    We put 285's on Bryan's truck when it had just the stock TRD sport suspension.
    CMC and a little flare & inner fender trimming was all it took.
    Looked badass.

    Cool. I'd prefer no added lift actually. I'll play around with it when it gets here.

    The @ARCHIVE kit has two mounting locations that work with some of the stock rivet holes with Dakars. One is supposed to give a 45* standing shackle angle. The other 25*

    I really like the idea of the placement being predetermined. Makes things a LOT easier if it works as advertised. We'll see I guess...

    Not terrible for 215k on it though. Hopefully the machine shop shouldn't have an issue pressing the new shit on.

    Also I never pulled a rear axle before so it's a good learning experience for me. :p

    It's the bearing pressing that makes the job difficult.
    It was cheaper for me to order a entire used axle shaft assembly than buying all of the parts and having it pressed.

    Oh no shit? LROR sells kits for my truck for $120 but I feel like I am going to get hit with at least another hundred to get it pressed.

    I got a complete drivers side axle shaft and assembly from car-part.com for $180
    To piece it together with OEM would have been well over $700
    The assemblely was off of a wrecked 2010 with 70K on it up in Douglasville Pa.
    Just went up with the tC & grabbed it. The steering rack I have now came from there too.

    Oh this was because you needed an axle anyway because of when you snapped yours right? So that definitely makes sense on being the cheaper way to go since you needed the axle and all the other shit that goes with it too. I could probably go that route too but it would be nice knowing the bearing is brandy new haha

    I had some extra time so I also installed my new spray on Bushwackers today. I'm going to fill the holes with that bondo'd and painted body clip idea soon. I have a few more bigger jobs to get done first though.

    @stairgod I never said you or anyone else said anything that was wrong. I just noticed the same questions came up multiple times the past few weeks and I just wanted to pass along some concrete info before the countless posts of bad info that are all over Tacoma World tainted this particular thread.

    I know people and im willing to help people save money... I got my supervisor a reman 6 speed manual trans for his 7.3l powerstroke for 2k with a T case since hes doing an auto to manual swap since his bellhousing cracked. The one he found was 3500

    Tell him to check his motor mounts. A lot of trans cracks are from the trans being a solid mount and the motor being rubber mounts. The motor mounts get weak and it puts a lot of stress on the trans case. That was one of the things that lead to the death of my old 7.3 and seeing how even the newest one is 13 years old now it could definitly be a factor.
