At home, we use a large gravel pile as a backstop. It's an old quarry so the pile is all processed crushed stone so there's no large rocks to cause a ricochet. Otherwise, I like the hanging steel targets because they take a lot of the bullet's energy away.

Yeah, I don't understand it. 223, 9mm, 357, T/C 50, you name it never had a problem. The lead would burry itself into the hillside. We have a very large silt mound, 20+ feet high, from when we dug the pond out to be deeper. Mainly fine silt. Been there so long that trees are now growing out of it. Took the 22 Henry to plink and they were flying off into the trees, up and away. When one came back and tinked off the truck, I new it was time to stop.

 

Maybe there's a bolder hiding in there close to the surface.

 

Thanks for posting some pictures up. The stiffer ride can be from, not only from the 620 lb spring, but from the preload as well. That is one of the hindrances going with the higher spring rate coils. the good news is that everything will settle in over time. The truck looks really nice and thank you so much for sharing!!

Any of you have the heated mirrors kit? Is it worth it?

 

If you are asking if heated mirrors are worth it, they absolutely are. I have them on the Vette and have them on the new truck and haven't had a chance to use them yet but my Mom's old Pathfinder had them and I loved them in cold weather and on days where you'd get dew all over the glass. It would make everything disappear.

You got the towing mirrors right? Does it come with a time delay relay to run the mirrors?

 

Yes and no it doesn't come with the switch but that's what I have. 10 minutes and the mirrors shut themselves off

 

Yes, definitely worth it!

Add them on! My Tacoma didn't come with them, that didn't stop me!
