Tryin to dig through all the information available and I guess I'm just curious. What exactly is rubbing against the cab mount, etc?

I know its the tire. But is it the width or the height per say?

I'm not lifting the truck yet but do want better tires than the stock highway tires I've been given. I want 275/70s but I do not want to gamble with the possibility of rubbing. Others I've seen have gone with the 255 series and curious if with a slimmer tire, would I still have possible rubbage.

It is primarily the width that becomes an issue relative to the cab mount. Is why 255/80/17s or whatever the tall skinny tire is works better than 285/70s in most cases. Gives the truck a different look though...for better or worse is just an opinion.

Ask Curtis from Kansas, he is the resident expert on all things that rub.

Thats the other thing too, I like a little negative offset. I like that stance of the tires sticking out slightly.

Thanks! I never really saw a clear answer anywhere about it. I know wider tires look badass but I've heard great things about pizza cutters. I live in CT where we have the potential for a lot of snow and read positive things about slimmer tires in snow and water.

Width and height both cause rub. As does wheel width and offset.

A little. Gotta love the feeling or lack there of and pretending it's someone else
