Agreed, both lessons I learned while on this trip too haha. When you guys had to winch me off of that hill, I had gotten stuck there because when I crested it I slowed down to try and change direction to go the other way. Buried myself and started sliding down the hill sideways when I should've just kept going forward.

Also, those two kids in the Ram made the critical error of going out alone without any cell phones or radio to communicate with their camp. We asked them if they could call someone and they said they had no way to do so and didn't know any of their camp's phone numbers, so they couldn't even use our phones. That, and their truck had small, low profile street wheels/tires. They definitely (hopefully) learned a few things about wheeling this morning that's for sure!

So many people at pismo are idiots. They think that their f350s with 10" spacer lifts are trophy trucks and fly around the dunes.

Finally caught up with this all, looks like everyone got home safe & sound. Always good to hear. Myself I got home maybe 30 minutes ago :anonymous:

So true, I was telling @digitaLbraVo that today as we were airing up to head out. Never have I seen so many overdone trophy trucks in one place at one time, fortunately most of them seemed to stay at their camps...most of the vehicles I saw out in the dunes were 4x4, atv's or dirtbikes. I was actually kind of impressed that 2wd Ram made it as far out as they did, considering how easily they kept getting stuck when we were trying to help get them out.

I'm still amazed that they got that far before getting stuck

Even a ford raptor off the lot would be better than most of what's out there! Haha. Not a trophy truck, but they are badass. That's the biggest mistake people make

@Nicklovin getting stuck #1. Maybe 300ish yards from base camp when we made a wrong turn and couldn't find it. This is probably 20 mins after we arrived?

haha, I remember seeing that video somewhere else and someone that apparently knew the guy said he intentionally destroyed that truck because his ex-wife had won it in their divorce. Brutal.

Damn took you a while. I got home about 1030 and I made multiple stops on the way back and at Melissa's in LA for an hour.

Such an awesome trip. Too much to speak of, those who made it know and those who didn't will have to make sure to make the next one.

    You guys are awesome.

Ended up taking surface streets as much as I could than cut inland instead of sticking to the coast

I didn't see you at all after the entrance to Pismo, I thought you were still way back behind me somewhere. Then again I did make a stop to take off my whip.

I think I was finally in my driveway by 8:30, terrible drive. Then had to unload the girl, kid, dog, AND the truck! I feel like the walking dead.

Drive down the 1 today for the first time from Monterey to SLO.

Really cool! You guys need to see that part of the coast!

    Thought about stopping at pismo!

Also saw some slick cars at Pebble Beach and Laguna Seca.

Yeah dude, with this crowd, I wouldn't worry about "an apology" as we/they all have an open ear. I haven't met you yet, but doesn't change anything as I'm still sorry to hear about your loss! Hope to meet you soon and take care!:fistbump:
