I am planning a vacation to LA this February and wonder if you guys have any good recommendations at what to visit. So far on the itinerary is Disney Land and Hollywood, is there anything that I have to see while there?

Awesome! What do you like to do? Who are you coming with? How long is your stay? Those needed to get in there first before a few questions can be answered...:D

Hermosa or Manhatten Beach are pretty fun areas to visit, you might see some pro vollyball players out there. I have never been to Catalina Island but I have heard it is pretty cool out there, I plan on going there the next time I am down in LA. If you plan on going and further south I would definitly say hit up San Diego Zoo and Sea World, but that is quite the drive. Hope this helps.

It will be my Girlfriend and I for 3 days. We are in San Diego for a wedding and then will travel up to LA since we have never been there. I could go for a good sea food place, mexican, or just cool themed resturant to eat at.

SD is cool...check out the US Midway and take a picture of the huge Navy statue! OC is where Disneyland is...however if your traveling northbound from SD to OC, you should check out Newport Beach and go shopping! :D Than traveling more north to LA and Hollywood...there's so much to do! Griffith Park Observatory just opened again, do not check out the LA Zoo...it's better in SD.

    Public transit?

No, the city is too spread out. You need to rent a car.

Sure, there are buses and subway and metro-link train but you will waste 1/2 your time.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in Beverly Hills area? Like for under $125 a night that is close to food, pub, ect?
