Hmmm, I'll have to look into that because that looks really good. Way more subtle than the Inferno bezel.

I also wonder how that would look for the grill bezel instead of the chrome.

 

heres how i did mine with the paint.

 

Got my Baja flat rack on. Also added 24" light bar behind grill and through on a Diaz fab toyota truck emblem. Still not sure if i'm digging the emblem or to keep the grill clean.

 

I think we are waiting for the same truck haha. Maybe they were built one after the other on the line! Does your vin indicate TX or Mexico?

 

I just got back from my wonderful Toyota dealer and after 10 weeks of waiting he said (after looking on his computer) I don't see your order in the system! They sure had no issues taking my $500 10weeks ago. So he filled out another request and sent it in. I see a free Homelink in my future. So I guess it's your Quicksand in that picture because mine has not even been thought about yet.

 

Sorry to hear that! I've been hounding my dealer salesperson for updates every two weeks to make sure everything is on track and they have the allocation.

 

I really like the clean look of your truck. I may have to rethink keeping emblems and decals.

I think that's the look I'll be going for once my 2017 shows up, except OR.

 

Put the stock rims and tires back on until hunting season/winter..

Here is an entire thread on the grills from Custom Car Grills. You can buy a number of various emblems. My son really liked the old school FJ Toyota emblem, so I bought it myself and fabbed it up.

I like it. I didn't want something to go all the way across the grill. In my opinion it looks like a Ford copy, and I didn't want that. It was between this and the simple 80's/90's TOYOTA emblem. It's all personal taste and preference, so honestly anything looks good, just better for some than others.





What's cool is that there a lot of old FJ-40's in this town- A LOT. When I run into them they all comment on the grill emblem and love it. They really get interested in the truck too..

Welcome, I can't bring myself to put running boards on, they are the first thing to get tore up when I go off road. I like the idea and function but my wife hasn't complained enough yet. How are your ventvisors holding up? Do they let your windows close all the way? Whats the make?
