    Exactly correct. But the lube itself isn't enough. The leafs are cut at sharp edges so the are manufactured quicky and are not labor intensive. The cuts dig into the surrounding leafs as the leaf pack moves. Hence the importance of radiusing and chamfering each edge. With pucks it's pointless because the Teflon sliders are what touch the adjacent leafs...until they deterriorate.
