I just bought a 2012 tacoma sport so I m new to tacomas but I have had a 91 pick up 4x4 for a long time. every time I slowly step on or release my clutch on Taco it makes a noise any suggestions on how to fix?

    Thanks,

Does it make a squeak/creaking noise when your pressing or releasing the clutch? Worse when the truck is left in the hot sun? That's the dreaded clutch pedal squeak. There's a TSB to replace the pedal with a new assembly but that one will end up speaking too. I found the noise to be coming from the fulcrum where the piston rod attaches to the pedal assembly. I used never seize on mine because the jar had a brush attached to the lid. I pushed the brush up between the rod and pedal while lifting the pedal back toward the driver's seat. Speaks been gone now for the summer. There's a few threads on this - search "Clutch pedal squeak". There's also a throughout bearing chirp issue but I done have any input on that (yet)...

Disc Brake Grease is what I used to lube everything and that has worked best, no more barn door creaking from the pedal.

Nah, that's totally different than the clutch squeak that's usually discussed here. Not sure what's going on in that video.....

You have to drop the tranny to get to the TOB. If you do it yourself, it's lots of work. If you take it to a shop, it's lots of money, and you may as well put a new clutch in at that time too.
Sometimes bleeding the hydraulics will help.
