It's a tough color Pete. I can tell you I've done less than 10 total in it out of hundreds of grills built.

Yup - been quite some time too... Next to SWB it's my favorite 2nd gen color.

 

I should've held out for a low mileage rad red 08 optioned exactly like mine but with the towing package

It's so worth the wait though - I absolutely love mine it has completely transformed my Taco!

Well I started to read all 219 pages of this thread but decided to just ask if you're doing any grills for a 99 right now. I have a grill I can send you. I've considered Magyvering my own but decided it was more than I could bite off. That and black rims are hopefully my next mods.

 

No sorry, I only make grills for 01-15 Tacoma model years.

Just thought I'd share my own experience so people have an idea on wait time. I messaged Craig on August 27th last year, and started on the wait list at #128 I believe, plus the batch of ten he was making at the time.

Fast forward a year, and my grill is currently being made (I hope ). Some might say that's a long wait, but you can just tell the attention to detail by the pictures some have posted on here. Not to mention that's more than 10 grills a month (minus the people who flake) for a man with a family and full time job, plus time to work on/play with his own truck. I have no idea how many of these he's made, or even if he knows, but just the fact that he continues to make them is impressive.

Add on top of that what he's charging- brand new grills, shipped, mesh, powder coating, paint, and... Bondo? Factor in labor, pick up/drop off for PC/paint/shipping, plus I know he said he hasn't raised his prices despite his costs increasing. Just my $.02- pretty crazy to think about.

Hopefully you still enjoy it! Hadn't heard of any hand problems recently, and I saw something along the lines of it being your creative outlet on Instagram I believe. Glad to hear it. I think there will be a lot of bitter people when you throw in the towel
