A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
So after spending forever and a half trying to drill holes in my frame to finish mounting my rock sliders, I decided to pull out the big guns and go town to whoop some frame ass. 20160822_083850.jpg

Are you using a hammer drill. That is the ticket. Slower rpm's too. If you have not done so take a center punch and a big hammer and punch a pilot point to help guide the drill. Would help to use a spray bottle with any kind of oil on the drill point. Position yourself under the drill and use body weight to keep solid pressure on it. Will never get through just using your arm strength.

Boy how the pile of factory parts just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Factory bumper is not on there because it is on the truck while my C4 bumper gets powder coated hopefully if the rain lets up it will be finished Friday. The I'll have to mount the 12k winch, fog lights, ditch lights, and 20" light bar. I still need to buy the rear fender flares @McNeilRacingInc and the the rear high clearance bumper from c4, the bed cage with pass through bypass shocks, the tire rack, and the rest of my skid plates from RCI...but I promised I'd wait to purchase more stuff after the truck came back from Baja Kits for 6 months. Damn promises:frusty:

Thanks for the advice, duly noted. I got the holes drilled now, the tungsten carbide bit made short work of the frame.

Mind sharing how you took off those panels? Did you buy the color from Toyota or somewhere else? How's it match? Looks good btw.

I did it to in matching blue for my truck. Pretty simple. Start at the middle (instrument cluster) and work out. Just pull it straight out with you fingers it's held on by little clips. Then there is a half dozen baby screws that hold the vents on to the trim piece

Surprised "somebody" doesn't have "14" covers on their side marker lights yet.
