Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

If we're still on "something made of wood," I've got an entry: Hidden Lake Lookout, North Cascades. Taken yesterday evening.

 

Well, you're participating now, my friend. Accepted as an 'Official Entry' by me.

 

The wood is still alive. hopefully that counts. Taken at Bryce Canyon last week.

Been on vacation at Myrtle Beach all this week and took this today. Boardwalk/shopping type area.

That's a cool pic. Old timey type look to it. I really like that.

 

I love wood, and these are all great entries. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to get a picture, after all life interfers with many things...

I have 3 stickers on the back of my truck, always hated stickers but have gravitated to them over time. I am one of those that ask for paper bags at the grocery store, it is a renewable resource. And I help create habit for wildlife one paper bag at a time. The sticker on my bumper says Earth First and below it "We will log the other planets later". Great picture.

David I love it and also hate it when you post pictures, reminds me of my FJ55 and cruising the Olympics and Cascades in the early 80's and miss them greatly. Lived on the Olympic side and used to say the Olympics rule, the Cascades drool. But in truth love them both. That picture captures the essence of the mountains, very well done. All the ruff grouse are down a lot lower in elevation though But I can almost see the mountain goats even though they are not in the picture. And a ram or two.

I like this also, very well done. I like all the entries so far but this one gives me an idea. Not a great one but at least an idea LOL, thank you for that. I have always learned a lot from this thread.

Sorry for the delay folks. Got seriously wrapped around the axle at work. Incident requiring reports up the whazoo.

No time to go into great detail on each photo, but suffice to say, the extra week garnered some excellent entries.

davidpick and nimitz- so jealous of the skills you guys have in getting those results. Seriously professional looking work.

cuffs - love your entry as well. But no bourbon in there.
Paul and Bennet - really like the lines of the trees/boards
113tac - another great one. Reminds me of Ents in Hobbit books. Focus/out of focus. Color. All nice.

Winner - DEVON911 - I don't know what specifically grabbed my attention, I just like all the different angles, and varying depths of the wood grains.
