Defuser in for smoking and baking. Divider plate in for direct and indirect cooking. You can combo it up and use divider with a defuser.

Once you use one, you will be hooked. They are spendy, but you have 4 cookers in one.

It's kind of hard to do group buys. I'm a dealer for them and they don't really come off them with any discount.

So the fact that you can't reload them with fuel easily is a non-factor for super long smokes? You said 40 hours, so I assume that once you get the hang of it you can load once with lump and wood and not have to load again.

Sorry for so many questions, but starting to get twitchy... the more I look into them the more I like. Amazon reviews arent the greatest on them, but if you're a dealer and you use one exclusively / personally, and you aint trying to sell me one directly, that speaks volumes against Amazon reviews.

Trust me, they are not for the masses. They are definitely for a small segment of people. You half to maintenance them,Have lots of patients, they weight over 300 lbs loaded ny themselves, takes up alot of space. And you really need to know about bricked oven's to truly enjoy one. Is it the all mighty savior? Who knows? I do know it gives you more option then any other cooker out there. Depending on your needs of course.

Salt block cooking is soooo much fun. It's not for every item out there. Crustation, veggies, a good steak if you can get it the block hot enough with out exploding it. Just a fun toy to play with

From what I've read about salt block cooking. It has to be heated gradually, 1hr+ heating time. I haven't tried it... yet. But I have heard it brings out amazing flavor:hungry:

What meat thermometers are yall using? I kinda want one that I don't have to open the grill to check the temperature, but then I don't know if leaving the probe in the meat for an extended period of time would affect the ultimate reading or not.
