Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Everything ranging from "yes" to "no" to "I need an alignment."

    Welcome to T-Dub.

I replaced that Auto-Zone battery with an Odyssey Battery and I just checked my records and see that I put it in March of 2009, cant believe I had that one for 7 years already.

I would rather get 100 replies, with each having a point of view and then make up my own mind, rather than a few and still not being able to make an educated decision. Not all responses are yes/no, with some offering techniques on how to prolong life, as well as brands to choose when I do replace it.

    Too few to list.
I don't know if I'd mount my battery sideways or upside down but come to think of it, VW's bugs had batteries under the seat as well and they were not the sealed kind. I remember having to check for water.

Apparently, members like the topic and wanted to discuss battery longevity. I know I'll be replacing my battery around 5-6 years of service if it makes it to that. Just another part of maintenance.

My battery barely started this morning, so all the people who said to preemptively replace the battery, you were right ----Thanks!
