    Big Bear?

You know you wheel a lot when you have to buy a new air filter every few weeks, I should just sign up for a monthly delivery through Amazon.

I'm up for Big Bear almost every weekend. (not this weekend - armor install). Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to squeeze in an Eastern Sierra trip till next summer. Desert season is coming up. Hitting Death Valley for Thanksgiving.

Air filters, new spark plugs every 15-20k miles. Oil change ever 3k miles. frequent xfer case oil changes. Demanding more out of your rig comes at a maintenance cost, that's for sure. The owners manual is for pavement dwellers. Frequent cheap PM's are worth it.

A little while ago someone in another thread was telling me I was crazy and wrong getting my oil changed every 3k, I always do though. Just got the transfer case and transmission done last week. Have new spark plugs on my shelf ready to go in. Looking at doing the front/rear diffs soon too. Really wish I had a garage...

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Didn't do it. I'd think any damage enough to do that is going to blow through anything of importance.

I just started running 15,000mi extended synthetic Mobil oil, I've been on synthetic since ~30,000mi or so it hurt to see the 80,000mi stuff is "high mileage" as my baby is still new!!

Nah, man. Whoever told you that is a shmo. The harder you are on your rig the more frequent the maintenance. It's cheap insurance.

Yeah I don't even remember hearing that skid hit something but it's got a fuckall of a dent that's pretty sad looking. Not like I'd expect a 1/4" of aluminum to really hold the truck up in its place anyway, but it's still scary to see a hit that close to the pan.

I'm thinking about going to synthetic, still running the 5w30 that's recommended for the first gens though since I've still got low mileage. First gens are recommended every 5k according to the manual but I go 3k to be safe, if I switch to synthetic I'll stretch it out more
