Think the only time I've seen your runner in person was at Ocotillo Wells back in February

I'm curious, was this the "First Annual Pismo Beach" meet up or something? Just wondering, because this would be cool to get together every year, making it bigger and better every year. It sounds like y'all had a great time, and I sincerely regret not being able to attend, (family, work, blah blah) but here's to hoping for another meet up at Pismo Dunes sometime, since I've never been there. When I was living/workin out in Texas, I was able to meet up at their similar annual South Padre Island meet. They got some crazy ass turn out of trucks! California can do better than them I think lol, But that was pretty cool though. Enjoyed all your pics.:mudding:

This thread initially started as a meet up thread for a bunch of SoCal members to get together for a Cleghorn run, since then it's sort of taken off into a regular meet up thread every couple months or so. Pismo was the third big meet we've had, Rowher Flats was the 2nd. I'd love to do Pismo again next year!

So this begs the question...where are we going to go next? :D

Edit: i thought this was posted on Wheelers Anonymous lol, this thread was a separate thread for the Pismo trip

The idea was being discussed, check out the Wheeler's Annoymous thread for meets we all throw together in the future. Winter is approaching and there are plans of mountain & desert runs in the works
Hahahahahahaha I quoted you right before you put in the edit, was going to say think you went crazy from the dunes

Nope, my GPS took me on the 166 east which cut straight over to the 5 south right before the grapevine. My truck loved me for that...

The 166 was nearly 100 miles of nothing...no gas stations, no towns, no nothing. I haven't seen a stretch of highway like that in a long time, it went through a mountain pass that had an OHV area that I wish I could remember the name of because it looked really remote and intriguing...I'll have to do some research to see if I can find it.

But yeah, no traffic at all. Only took me 3.5 hours to get back to LA

That's better than the rest of us faired, took the 101 to the coast. Eventually started alternating between that & surface streets until I could break free of the 101 & got inland.... maybe 4 hours to get to LA & if I had kept going at the time another hour until I reached my house
Was the ohv Hungry Valley? Like south of Bakersfield area?

Should have Definatly been salvaged but they didn't go through insurance so "clean" title...

Basically my buddy traded him a built race truck for the broken rapter which had 8k miles on it with a boat load of cash on top. Cash that was given with the busted rapter paid for all repairs cost..

List: new frame, body work, new suspension, new axles, new hubs, and a TON more stuff.

This is how it looks nowimage.jpg image.jpg

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    It's a Ford.

    Totalled out the factory.
