Sorry, Nick. You're generation sucks. Music, movies, "reality TV", bullying, trophies for little league losers. I'm sorry, this generation is soft.

Went synthetic the day I brought my truck home. Still change every 3k. Changed it at 5k once and the smell and look of it was terrible. While in the Navy I did time in the oil lab conducting full testing and BS&W (bottom sediment and water) and know a fair amount about oils. For the price point, I want my motor and xfer cases sippin on that fresh, clean drank all day errryday!

All reasons why I like the Navy. We had our share of shitbags but for the most part we all came together and grew up salty. Turning wrenches in the boiler rooms and traveling the world was good for me. We hazed each other, wrenched together, partied together, and we were just kids of 19 yrs in age. Lots of fun. Challenging but fun.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
2nd's say 5k as well but after swapping to full synth I run between 7k and 10k per oil change depending on how I feel. The 15k mi oil is in response to my long intervals AND hard driving patterns with you guys. I figured a bit more length won't hurt.

I'd like to think that natural selection will take effect on our generation, hopefully not us specifically:rofl:

How often do you change that xfer case oil, and how difficult is it?
You play ball like a GIRL! I've only got a few years on @Nicklovin but at least I know and have seen the classics

You need a fancy pump that screws onto the oil bottle and it, inevitably, will not get the last few drops out of the bottle.

You climb under the truck, locate the breather and take it out (kinda like the oil pan plug) and then remove the drain plug. It smells like hot fucking death. Replace drain plug and refill through breather. Hardest part is the angle you gotta work at, usually.

And did I mention the smell?

My bumper has a reinforcement plate that bolts through the hole in the far left of your photo. I'll send a pic later.

Yeah I definitely hang out in higher RPMs when wheeling, especially only having 5 gears and being a manual trans I try and get the most out of each gear before shifting. I'll sometimes go up to 4th in 4lo (15-20 mph) but anything over that just doesn't feel right.

There was a big blowup in a thread maybe 6 months ago about a guy from Hawaii saying all the rigs up there are those same gay ass stuck out deep dish wheels with low-profile mud terrains and they "just skate over the sand"

    ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhkay.
