I'm honestly more concerned with whats the best balance to keep my bearings from wearing prematurely more than anything.

 

Do you think it's 100% the spacers that caused it to go? Idk the math isn't convincing

 

I'm not, it could have just been time. I mean it's got 215k on it, but I rather not risk it right now especially since money is tight.

 

Gotcha ok I was just wondering if there's any solid indication that they cause excessive wear....Yea with 215k there's no way to tell haha

 

No definitely not. And I've run 1.25" spacers for years of hard wheeling with no issues, but 2" does feel like a lot of stress to put on the bearings.

 

So I got a tire question whats the difference between 255/80/17 and 295/70/17. They are both 33" right?

 

The 295/70 is a little bigger than 33 and the 255/80 is a 32.8

 

Not a noticeable difference than

 

255/80-17 is like a 33x10.5-17. 295/70-17 is roughly a 33x12.5-17. You might wanna ask subwayz though cause I might be making that up

 

@PSU Taco85 will this fine Tacoma be the first to get its sliders welded on in the new garage?

The math says they should be 33.25" tall. Cooper puts them at 33.2" on a 9" rim IIRC. Installed on truck too if the tire is 32.25" from the ground(@ 35 psi)

 

255s are just under 2" narrower. They look tall and skinny. 295s look chubby.
