    Did anyone seal the bare metal around the holes that were drilled for the rivets or screws? There is a ton of road salt here in the winter, and I'm kind of paranoid about leaving even a tiny bit of bare metal exposed on my truck. Or will the rivets seal the holes off? This is my first experience using rivets.

    I sure did.sprayed some leftover epoxy paint into a cap.waited until it was partially dry (honey consistsancy ).applied it with q-tip,on top,inside ,the hole and the threads of screw,and the shaft of the rivit.
    Also the base mounting plate then on top of the finished mounts to cover top of screw and rivet.
    Not that these trucks have rust problems .

    On the screw and rivet too eh? Are they not stainless, or are you just going with some overkill? I was assuming the hardware was stainless.
