Just about to pull the trigger on an SR instead of an SR5, as in my particular configuration cruise control was the only difference I cared about...but $67 is a lot less than the 3k+ difference between the two trucks I'm looking at :).

All 2016 SRs should be wired up and good to go with this mod I believe? I will be getting an automatic...shouldn't affect this mod should it?

I got an SR for the same reason. You are good to go for the mod.

Thanks guys! Now I just have to figure out the key fob things for my wife (will likely have to pay way too much) and we'll be set with enough left over for a shell. Woot.

Any chance you know if the 2017s should be good to go for this as well? I imagine so but...

Nice mod! I have a question, the cruise control on the 2016 RAV4 the text lights up but on the Tacoma SR5 it doesn't. I was wondering if the RAV4 fits and will it light up?

Take the airbag off and put a paper clip between the positive and negative and short it and see if it lights up on the dash and that will tell you if its pre-wired or not. Then short it again to turn the light off!

Sweet! Just played the dealers vs dealers game and finally got a number I liked: came out with an order for a 2017 SR Access Cab 4x4 4-cyl auto in Magnetic Gray! First thing I'm going to do is put in this cruise control mod

Has anybody else had this not work?

I installed it this morning. Everything went smoothly thanks to moe2o4's excellent instructions. However it's not working. When I push the on/off button the cruise control on indicator comes on as it should. But when I press down to set it the "set" light does not come on and nothing happens.

    Any ideas?

I believe you got to be going at least 25mph to set it, you might have gotten a faulty switch...

I tried it at various speeds from 30 - 60 MPH with the same problem. I guess I'll try returning the switch.

That would be my guess, that's the only logical thing it could be! Try to get a new one!

I think I there might be something thermally intermittent in either the switch or somewhere else in the cruise control system. I installed it on a hot day and it didn't work right. Then on Monday morning I tried it on my way to work and it worked fine. On the way home it would not work again. Same thing Tuesday. Since then we have had cool weather and it's working fine. I'm going to wait for another hot day to test my theory.

FWIW the $15.99 switch from Amazon is taking forever to get here. Ordered last week, estimated delivery between Oct 5th and 21st. I just want my cruise control. /rant
