Cool, while you're on, how does this work with Dakars again? I remove my factory shackles obviously. But after that, I only use one factory hole on each side?

Dude, that is Awesome! I notice that the "bump plates" have a wing that protrudes to the outboard side (towards the wheel). I'm guessing that is for the use of hydraulic or air bump stops?

The kit looks incredible, I like it a lot! Combined with a shock relocate and some Deaver F67s and you'd have a solid rear suspension. I'm gonna try to amass the parts I need over the winter season and do the swap next spring/summer.

For 40-45deg shackle angle with OME Dakars, yes, you use the one forward lower hole thru the crossmember.
For 25deg shackle angle with Dakars, you use 3 original holes, and drill a new upper rear hole (due to aftermarket bumper clearance)

Thanks! Yes the bump plate has the landing incorporated. You can see there is good clearance under the springs, not an ugly drag point.
I recommend the HD Deaver U539/U540 springs. What's the specs on F67?

Maybe Deaver's website is a bit out of date, but the only SUA leafs I saw were F55 and F67. the F55 pack is a good choice for minimal lift and minimal bed weight. For up to 3" lift and/or a few hundred pounds in the bed, the F67 is supposedly a better choice.

    http://www.deaverspring.com/products/toyota-leaf-springs/tacoma-2wd4wd-6-lug-2005-2015/

I haven't found a huge amount of info about SUA though. I've not heard of the part numbers you listed, got any more info?

Oh, F55 & F67 I believe are for the DMZ kit, which requires new front and rear mounts.
The U539/U540 are the HD Totalchoas springs. And Deaver needs to get a better site, they know it

You know what, I think you're right! I never put two and two together but now that I look back pretty much every pic of a Tacoma with F55 or F67 springs has non stock mountings.

Thanks for the save Eric! I may fab up for longer springs in the future but for my first venture into SUA I'm gonna use the stock locations like the TC kit does.

    What's a source for the U539/540 set?

From this thread 40-45 is why you changed the bracket correct? That's what I should be shooting for right?

Sorry for my ignorance guys. Been trying to do my homework here. There's just so much info...

I think what's more important than the shackle angle at ride height is that the shackle is perfectly vertical (90* to the ground) at full droop.

This makes it all but impossible for the shackle to invert and somehow bend forward towards the front of the truck, thereby bending or breaking a spring.

It depends on your setup like shock length, desired lift, and how much you carry.
45 degrees is for max flex and hurts your load capacity

I've also done so much research on SUA setups, but eventually you just gotta dive in an do something. If it doesn't perform well for you, you can always change it later. I know the feeling of wanting to get it perfect the first time around, but after you do something, you'll at least have a benchmark for how you want to change it.

This is true. I just have a TON of stuff that I want to get done before another trip to the off road park end of Sep. If I can get it in one shot, it'd pretty helpful.

I'm torn, because I want max flex AND load capacity. Classic cake and eat it too scenario! :D

How much of a sacrifice in load capacity are we talking with 40-45 degrees?

I have Dakars already and a pair of B110's to put on with the flip kit. I don't want TOO much of a rake in the end though. 886's and 1/4" top late with Nitrocharger Sports up front.

I have more home work to do...

I'd get them straight from Deaver, ask for Jeff and tell them Eric sent you

If anyone is looking to buy one of these kits I will be selling mine. Kind of disappointed I will not be installing this on my truck. After my truck was stolen I decided that I will not need this kit right now. Everything is still 100% new, just opened the box to see what was inside, everything looks great. Shoot me a PM, thanks guys and keep up the good work @ARCHIVE
