I've gone 450 on a trip, but normally I go 390-410 depending on traffic.

So, I am wicked happy with my new URD Air Intake. I got an average 22-24 MPG driving out to Denver from San Antonio, and I got 20 MPG driving around town (even with lots of WOT and cruising at 80+!) and driving on the trails in the mountains.

    I love this thing!!!

Yeah, I know I have set it up to get worse mileage now, but what was the deal-e-o before I put all of this on the truck? And the answer to that question may be answered very soon. I am taking my truck in for the second time in less than a week for a check engine light. The first time was the MAF sensor, if that is what it is again, I will get a new one and then see what my mileage is. A bad MAF can really ruin your mileage... so hopefully it is my MAF. Pretty sure it is.... No matter what the mileage though, I will continue to drive my truck, cause, I LOVE MY TACO!!!!

Forgive me for being numb and not reading all the way to the end of the thread but are these miles all based on a V6? Any 4-bangers?

I'm measuring mine as of this morning and will post up the results. V6, 2WD, at, mostly I-driving.

I did allot of hghwy driving this last fill up. I use middle grade and set the cruise control between 65-70. Gas light came on and I drove another 11 miles untill I got more gas. This last tank took me 378.6 miles. V6 to boot! No complaints here. I think its all in the gas, oil, and tire pressure. Oh yea! I had a/c on whole time!

I was getting about 317 a tank then I started to drive 60-65mph on the highway and taking off slower from a stops. Now I am getting around 385-395 a tank and that's mixed driving

I was getting a steady 19.5 mpg until three tanks ago- then it suddenly dropped to 16.7. 4.0 V6 Prerunner with Borla exhaust and intake and 20-inch rims/tires. Nothing changed, i even bought gas at the same place. I am suspecting heat and higher ethanol content in the gas.
Looking really hard at that URD Cold Air Intake now.

Ok so i have a 6spd v6 dcab, i do alot of city driving unfortunitely and the truck is pretty much stock as of right now (other then the flowmaster)...i'm lucky if i get close to 280 miles...i'm halfway between 1/4 tank and E and i'm only at like 230 miles and that's highway/city combined on this fillup...i'm easy on the throttle and try at all times to keep it below 2k rpms...how comes i'm not getting good mileage with my taco? are manuals that bad with the gas mileage? :(

Damn.. that sucks! do you use 5th gear much or only on the highway. when I had my 95 toyota pickup I would throw it into 5th once I got to cruising speed even if it was only 35mph.

No I usually never go above 4th gear intown and usually in 6th on the highway unless I'm towing, then I cruise in 5th. In fact I'm in my truck right now driving and my gas light just came on and I'm at exactly 254 miles. I don't go more then like 35-40mph in the city. Anything I can do to help improve this?

Lol I pulled over to type :D

Yeah I'm gunna try to do 5th more. It just sucks cause I do a lot of stop and go driving all day long, so using 5th gear and keepin the rpms up is gunna be fun.

I have an 06 DC Sport and before I put the 3 inch leveling kit and 285 BFG, I was getting 330 to 340 when the light came on. It would take 17 gallons or so. On the highway I would get worse than in town, but I run 75 to 80. Now I get about 270 to 280 when the light comes on.

i got the 2.7 4x4 and i get about 415-435 per tank. i try to drive like a sissy at all costs though, plus about 85% of my driving is on the highway so......... gas costs too much to drive crazy nowadays. i remember back when i first got my license (1996), gas was as low as .85 cents at racetrack. what a turn of events this nation has seen. oh well, i'll do the best i can do with 3.99 a gallon
