Installed Billet Grille Today

Installed a 5 pc. Billet Grill this afternoon. It looks great during the day. But I have a question. How does yours look at night? Mine reflects like someone took a ball peen and went to town on it. It may be hard to tell from the pics. I am hoping this is a common issue, not BS work that is being distributed to us fine Tacoma owners. I won't slander the maker until I get some feedback.

Not off ebay, I don't think. An innocent Xmas gift form Mom. I just wasn't sure if there are more companies out there that are making sub factory caliber equipment. Notice the un uniform reflections in the grill. You can see more deficiencies in person.

Being aftermarket I would expect a little discrepancy in regards to "perfect" components. But damn, maybe a little more quality assurance before it gets shipped out. But I could be getting ahead of myself here.

Like I said, I don't want to discredit the maker until I find I am alone in this boat. If others have this situation, then it must be a common trend.

I think it looks pretty badass. At night, are those reflections coming from oncoming traffic, or your trucks own lights?

 

Those are from the street lights, but they looked much worse in the lot leaving the gym tonight. Like I said, in daylight I love it. Maybe I am just being critical on this one. I do appreciate the postive comments.

 

Looks good . Mine looks like that I think ( hammer spots). It's coming off soon to be replaced with a satoshi. The billet is kind of hard to keep lookin nice.

 

In anyting other than flat black, the reflections will be the same. It is the metal being in less than perfect shapes.

In South Charlotte, a transplant form the North, just like everyone else here. No offense to the locals, not getting in that discussion.

 

Ultimately its your decision.. Personally, I think it looks pretty damn good.
