    That wouldn't be an issue. They'll send you assembled units that can just be swapped out with the old ones once they get there. You'd just have to pay a core deposit which you would get back once they received you old clamshell and third.

    Ahh, wish I would have known you were about to re-gear and lock, I would have definitely recommended buying the differentials already built from them. But either way, definitely get an experienced shop to install what you have. There is a LOT to getting gears properly set up.

    I have my stock front and rear diffs just chilling in my parts room.... in case you wanted to send yours in and needed the truck, you could throw in mine for the time being until yours got shipped back

    Not sure, I would call them and see if what they say. Might not be cost-effective to have to ship everything back, and then pay for them to ship it right back to you.

    So after doing some cost analysis, if I were to send the gears back and have them send built ones it looks like it would cost about $175 more when all done and cores sent back

    Awesome! I won't have the cash to regear for a while, but I will definitely take you up on that when the time comes! Just out of curiosity, what gear ratio are your stock ones?

    I'd have them do it then. I trust them more than most of these mechanics and gear guys in our area anyway. Not to mention, ECGS has an awesome warranty with their built differentials.

    No problem. They are yours to use when you need them, as long as they don't sell before then lol. I've had them for sale now for over a year but no real offers.

    As for the ratio.... 3.9X maybe? The were 3. something.

    Do you think that I would need to purchase any installation kits or seals in addition to the differentials?
    Edit: I guess that's probably a better question to ask them haha

    I'm pretty sure all that stuff is included in the price of the unit. Only thing you'd really need to buy is the optional upgrades they have on the configuration page, but since you already have the gears and the locker, they might knock off some on the unit price. Not sure on that, but then I think the unit price includes the new ring & pinions, so it could happen, I guess. You should call them and explain the situation and see what they say...unless you did that already.

    I'm gonna be calling them tomorrow, I'm thinking that they won't have a problem with it, I mean it's more money for them. And I just saw that having it built there comes with a 5 year warranty so I think it'll be worth it.

    You are going to need the full install kit, which includes all bearings, shims, and pinion seal. But yea, call them so you can discuss your situation and they will send you down the right path.

    I'd recommend upgrading to a solid pinion spacer in both the front and rear differentials while you're at it. It will be $45 per differential.

    It replaces the crush sleeve between the inner and outer pinion bearings. If I understand correctly, the spacer stabilizes the pinon better so if your driveshaft impacts the terrain you're less likely to damage the pinon bearings/gear.

    Like lee said, it eliminates the crush sleeve, which over time could collapse ever so slightly which could impact the life of the gears, bearings, and even locker. When it collapses more, it throws off the set pinion depth and gives the pinion unwanted lateral and radial play, which ruins everything inside. A solid spacer eliminates all of these possibilities. Cheap insurance really and a better set up differential.

    I'm either going to pay a lot now to have it done right or pay even more down the road if something was done wrong because I had it done cheaply
