Have you tried a sledgehammer. I've heard guys saying that if you beat the diff just the right way, it will shift appropriately. Alternatively, you can try some Lysol and a match to lubricate things a bit.

 

Agreed. After this amazing strand of conversation, I am quite tempted to make a thread dedicated to this nonsense. I know there are a few, but its always nice to have one that isn't thousands of messages deep...

It tows like shit also. Towed my Heep to Moab and back at only 80 mph+. I want to trade it in on a smart car. Oh, also my 4Runner trail toy is a even bigger POS. It only has 321K miles on the original drive train. What a piece of junk.
