hey guys, this is my first post here, I'm in the market to lease a pickup truck. I've been checking out several brands including GMC, Chevy, but I love the new Tacoma in off road form. And in quicksand lol. Anyway, what are you guys getting off msrp, and what are your payments, terms, lengths of lease etc. thanks In advance!

I didn't go through with the lease, but usually you get a better deal with a 36 month term.
As with buying, you can negotiate the msrp, despite what some dealers will tell you. The payment will depend on if you have a trade in or give a down payment. Edmunds has some good info on leases and I think they even show what the residual is, I am not sure if they have the new Taco on there yet or not.
    Hope it helps.

I'll give ya a ballpark. I pay $307mo with ZERO down on a SR DCSB 2.7l. Price was 25k, end of lease purchase is about 20k (which is what I intend to do). Only way I can get into a new vehicle and I wanted to get into something that I know is reliable. I might drive 9k a year...12 at the most. DONT put anything down. If you have money saved to put down, say 2k....just divide that into 36mo and use that to help with the payment. If you put 2k down and total the truck then kiss your 2k goodbye, so don't put anything down. But like daddy_o said, google search Tacoma lease forums and check out the Edmunds lease forums for very helpful information regarding a lease for this and any other truck. The residual when I purchased was at 69% which is awesome.

PS.. I live in TX so leasing is bit complicated because you have to pay taxes up front which are amortized into the cost of the monthly payment. I was quoted 380mo for a SR5 with ZERO down which was going for 28.5k.

I appreciate the information as I was also considering leasing. Also in DFW. I wish they would change the lease tax but at least you don't have to pay tax again if you buy out at the end.

$345 is great! Does that include tax? In Texas tax on $35k would be roughly $2200 which would be $60 month.

I negotiated my truck price based on buying, then decided on leasing in case there are first year issues and I wanted to upgrade, so you can negotiate the price for a lease.

I am not positive, but my payment is sub $320 with 3k down for 2 years on an offroad

Mark Stoller at Freeman Toyota is the ONLY guy that would give me a quote via email....like an actual worksheet and everything. He is the fleet salesman there and has been selling Toyotas for 29 years....gave me the best price I could find.

That's what gap insurance is for isn't it?

Seems like one would be really rolling the dice to not have that insurance on a lease, down payment or not.

TRD OR DCSB 4x2, premium/tech, bedmat, drings, and 'free' floormats/doorsill/tonneau(to convince me to buy an in stock truck instead of ordering, because i didn't want to pay for those things, and was fine with going aftermarket)

$0 down, no security deposit, payment includes sales tax. Paid my title/tags/registration stuff separate.

I paid $33,027 for the truck. MSRP of $35,180 without the "free" stuff. Right around $36,000 if you include it.

Pretty sure my lease buyout is within $500 of blue book current pricing... So buying gap would cost me more than paying the difference.

I purchased, but was curious when you lease are you allowed to add mods or does the vehicle have to stay the way it is.

SR5 DCB V6 Tow package and appearance package with 5k down I'm at $279 month and lease for 36months /12 k miles a year. I'm planning to upgrade it to a 4x4 after this lease ends and might keep the next truck.
End of lease buy option will be around 22k.
As you can see, there is many factors like credit, down payment, truck trim, lease terms etc etc.
    Good luck

So basically my lease was 0 down $850 over invoice. You can prob get my truck for $320 a month with 0 down.

You can add all the mods you want and accessories, if you pick the accessories at the dealer and include them in the lease , all accessories end up being yours. For example you ad the predator bars to the lease (about $15 a month) when the lease ends, you keep the predator bars.
just make sure to keep all the oem parts to put them back.

I got mine from Scott Bolin at Freeman... haha

I am paying $429 a month 12,000 36month lease for my DCSB SR5 4x4. That was with $1200 down. I traded in a car and had to pay that POS off as well. I'm probably only going to drive this truck for a few months. Once my credit goes back up i'll be upgrading to a TRD Sport for less $$$ a month.
