I didn't care much for it either when I bought mine, but damn, now that I have it I'm loving it! Use it all the time. :D

Haa-haa. One day I pulled up to an intersection in my town and there were 3 of us 3Gens sitting at a light side by side. Me, an OR, and a SR5. No waves, just a lot of leers back and forth. Could cut the tension with a knife. LOL.

I had a two wheel drive manual 2008 ranger, put 150,000km on it and didn't do anything other than oil changes. I think if it was 4WD I'd still be driving that thing, such great little trucks. Miss that old girl. Used to pack 4 guys with ski gear into the cab and head to the hill 60+ days a year, no need to turn the heat on when you're that cozy.

So I have been waiting to see the 4 door offroad make an appearance and finally its here. But whats up with an across the board price increase of a grand on the tacomas and the 48 month loan term at 4.5 % Are they trying not to sell these trucks?

My 2017 TRD Off Road Double Cab is being built Sept 6th. I got 2 grand off. And all accessories at dealer cost. I should have it late September.

The sales manager is my close friend I'll admit.

I'm in the Vancouver region and the best I found before I talked to my buddy was $1500 off.

$1400 increase on my truck, BUT you get a sliding rear window! Who the hell cares, I've had that window opened twice to carry moulding. Don't think the dollars changed that much from last November, but whatever....I'd probably still buy it.

Is the TRD Pro missing the exhaust in Canada? It's not mentioned in the 2017 brochure.

Rather than give us rebates or 0% to help us sell the 2016's, Toyota is making the rates higher on the 2017 until we clear them out first. Should see a change by March/April on the 2017's

Thank you Mike. So it does come with the exhaust, funny they don't list that in the brochure, but it's all over the US site.

It's because the Short bed Off-road models come with the 4 wheel crawl control, multi-terrain select, rear diff lock etc, plus the $1200-1300 price jump between the 2 years because the factory was running at a 125% capacity they had to increase the price on the Tacoma's.

    Gotcha Mike, Thanks!

The 'build and price' thing on the website is a bit confusing - they specify the double cab offroads as short box, but when you check the brochure they list the double cab sports as short box as well, and SR5s as Long box, but the website makes no mention of box sizes anywhere except to point out the the TRD Pro, and the double cab offroad are short.. when the sport is actually short as well... Took me a while to get my head around this - i though that if i wanted a double cab short box i had to by the offroad model only lol

Is there a TSB in Canada for the transmission... Like there is in the states (TSB 0077-16). And are there any other TSBs available in Canada?

Mike your info here is priceless, thank you. Question what is the best deal ($'s off MSRP) you've seen a tacoma go for?

I have seen $500 over invoice as the lowest personally. But without going to Alberta or hopping on a ferry I couldn't get much less. I know Mike could have probably diverted one to BC but I figured I would just help a buddy out.
