Damn, that is disappointing. I am looking for the double with short box, auto, and its available in the USA, i was hoping it would make it to Canada.

Is there any reason as to why Canada doesn't seem to get the same stuff as the USA?

They sell a whole lot more vehicles in the us. We finally got the TRD Off-road double cab in Canada.

You could get the new 2017 Off-road model, that has the short box.

It really varies based on options being added etc and which model. If you are interested you can always PM me and we can work out some numbers.

^^^ But if we only got the LTD in SB like in the States, I would have never bought it. So it's not all bad IMO.

I prefer the longbox myself. Still wonder why we don't get the 18 inch wheels on the limited.
Glad I got the homelink on my sport. Use it everyday.

I've been bitchin' about the wheels since day one. Love the US wheels on the Limited.

Agreed. And for the extra price of the limited hothouse wheels should be offered.

    Thanks Mike.
To confirm according to the Canadian brochure, unlike the US spec'd TRD Pro MT, our MT loses the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert that the AT has?

Not sure why they would remove something from the Canadian MT that the US MT has if they weren't going to take it from the Canadian AT.

The TRD Pro is a package that is added to the Off-road Double cab model so no Blind Spot or RCTA

Have you guys also noticed that the Canadians do not get any chance of having the "parking assist", or whatever it's called...(those rear-facing sensors in the rear bumper)..
Maybe it's because Toyota doesn't feel we really need those to park between a Moose and a black bear..?? Not sure..?

I've not seen 1 Taco here yet that has those sensors in the rear bumper facing rearward..... Like on the US models..!

Ya, I've got them. Displays distance lines in the camera and in the small screen between the dials, plus warning beeps the closer you get.

You can get the BSM and CTA as an option, but Back-Up Sonar only on the Limited in Canada.

Yeah I got the BSM & CTA that failed 5 weeks after I bot the truck... (going in tomorrow to repair)..

Parking alert is an option... good thing I did not get it...I live it the BOONIES... don't need that crap.. I guess our dealer knows that and does not order them that way...!!
    Thanx for the reply...

One of the biggest problems with the back up sonar is if you tow, have your tailgate down, use your hitch for anything it's annoying as hell. So I don't mind not having it on the truck! I find this thing easy as hell to park as is, I don't feel I need it.
