2005 - 2023 Archive Garage Premium Shackle Flip Lift Kit

If I wanted to get these to go with the stock springs instead of replacing my leaf pack at the moment, would this be a reasonable way to go? I'm a little confused on the install process. I know if I wanted to do anything too crazy with them I'd need extended shocks and brake lines. I have extended brake lines, I don't remember how long they are though, but my shocks are not extended length, just meant to go with a AAL. But I need some extra lift in the rear after Toyota replaced my leaf springs due to the recall and didn't give me my AAL back from my old pack. So I'm just on stock leafs and sagging in the rear since I have OME up front.
Anyway, I just wanted to see if these would be a viable option to work with the stock leafs or if I'd be better off just replacing my leafs and keeping the stock shackle. I can't afford to do both at the moment. But I want to get rid of my sag. Options are new AAL, new pack, or this.

 

The main purpose of these shackle flips is to gain suspension travel/droop. It's not a "lift". Your shocks would most likely be too short. Sounds like you are looking for a cheap way to gain back your lift.

 

The shackle flip is working out very well with the new Toyota 3+1 springs, and this is a great way to get lift, probably 1-1.25" and when installed in the middle position returns a shackle angle about 30-35 degree. Also, droop is working quite good with this combo as well.
$250 for the shackle flip or maybe $500 for new spring packs

And then get some Bilsteins B110s about 26" long +or- 1" for an affordable option

I know it gains travel, which I would like as well, but yes, I want to get my lift back. The travel would be nice for when I'm out on trails, but that isn't happening as often as I'd like right now with finishing up school.

 

Yeah those are the prices I've seen. My only hesitation with these is it would still be the crappy leaf pack that's already flat (brand new) when my bed is unloaded, whereas $500 for a new leaf pack would be just that.. a new leaf pack.

Basically grind and drill out rivets and bolt on in your case with stock springs

 

New 6" shackles are now an option.
Plain steel with H-connector welded in since they are 2" longer.
This will add min 1" to droop travel, I recommend using with significant shackle angle.
This will add additional pinion angle, maybe about 2 degrees.

What is the cost for just the longer 6" shackle. I might end up looking into a longer shackle.

Also I did gain lift from just the shackle flip. I think it rides a lot better with the flip.

 

When purchased seperate from kit, I'm probably going to charge $60 a pair of 6" plain steel shackles, due to time involved.
With kit it will be a $20 option over kit with 4" stainless.

Also, my next batch I'll probably get 5" stainless shackles lasered which will probably also be a $20 option over 4" stainless.

 

Here is the latest revised version of the brackets to allow about 40-45 degree shackle angle with the shorter length OME Dakars similar to what @kumz
I went with 1" forward holes. I think in addition to working with OME springs, this forward position will be good for SUA conversions and longer than 4" shackles.

 

Yeah I've heard it rides a lot better with the flip. And a lot of the older trucks generally use shackle lifts to gain height... so I don't see why you wouldn't still use it as an viable option other than maybe more work.

 

Yeah I'd be interested in that just to see how much work it is compared to installing like an AAL or new leaf pack. I just wasn't sure if anyone had done a write up on here at all or anything like that.

 

I purchased the shackle kit but have not installed them yet. Since I have the OME Dakar rear leaf pack, would you be willing to sell just the update mount?

Steve, what if I drew up a scale paper template on 8.5 x 11 sheet that I could email to any previous customers with OME springs. Then you could prick punch and drill the 3 new holes in each brackets. Just unbolt the brackets and drill the holes on the bench...Then bolt on and match drill thru the new holes in brackets into frame.

 

That would be very much appreciated. I'll drill the holes before doing the install.

Honestly, I've been holding off on the install until I do the rear shock relocation setup. How is your kit coming along? I'd love to help support you by buying yours rather than the competitors (nothing negative to say about the other guys).

 

To be honest I've been very busy and progress on shock mounts is slow. I have a solid design, but I just need to sit down and finish laser patterns
