Makes me want to go do some internet shopping just to see what kind of responses I get. Not in the market for myself but it could be fun. Kinda looking for something for my daughter and I chatted with a sales dude about a Renegade. I asked a specific question about the vehicle and got a question for an answer. Really ticked me off and I told him so.

like you see above in my case, i'm trying to lock down the same truck but a 2017 in MT, no tonneau, no paint protection, and they want $38,700 BEFORE TTL and won't even budge so far. so, yeah, you got a deal, at least relative to DFW it seems. 2016's not available now in MT's due to the special order nature.

as of last night truecar doens't have the 2017's listed, so you cannot present that to the dealers and expect anything.

in fact, i used the toyota.com build tool and came up with $37,094 for my config of a 2017. so i told the sales mgr that, showed him the pdf (printable from the toyota.com site), offered him $37,200, and he said NO. $38,700. he literally huffed when i said i have a price to work with from toyota.com.

So you offer him more than MSRP and he said No.... I would definitely go to another dealer.

I think out-of-state is your best option. I believe that Gulf State Toyota also add extra Regional Administrative fees on top of the MSRP and higher Delivery fees. Maybe try Kansas or New Mexico, out of GST region.

If you go to Trucar, you can start on a 2016 and change model year to 2017. FYI

I would personally compare it to Trucar's pricing and see how it fairs.

Well some people on here seem to have some outrageous deals, I'd like for them to post scans or proof of their deals. Let's see it on paper.

$300 to tint the front two windows is high and the $399 doc fee is also high some are reporting $3k off some could be more room there? Are you using the $8k equity in the trade as a down payment to lease? I wouldn't do that.

You tried Hardy Tadlock at Toyota of Dallas? I bought a FJC from him 4 years ago, he is pretty straightforward older gentleman. I think he is/was fleet manager.

No I won't be using my trade in for a lease, he just threw that number in there. Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate any input here.

Not trying to troll or flame by any means, but I think some guys here have some tall BS stories on how much they actually paid. It's like show me your pay stub after bragging how much ya make lol.

So I've just been offered $35,800 OTD for a 2016 TRD Sport 4x2 with Premium and Technology Package w/JBL and all weather matts. Should I pull the trigger or haggle?

I'm in Florida by the way

TrueCars says the average paid for that identical truck is $34,690 and I'm assuming that's without TTT. I'm looking to get it for $35,000 including TTT(OTD). Do you guys think that's reasonable?

    thank you.
i'm already talking with another dealer who assures me they don't sell over MSRP. lol. well, ok. i will see about that tomorrow morning.

unfortunately i'm in the typical DFW buyer position... i have little time and a high need for convenience, which i guess is how they can put you up to the wall here. out of state is an option but quite a headache for me. i may have to bite a higher price just due to time and ease. i cannot believe i'm saying money is coming third on that list. real life problems i suppose. life aint cheap.
