Tepui's customer service on T4R.org was laughable because of how poor it was. Long story short, a group buy ended terribly and the "vender", who shall remain nameless, got defensive. I've been permanently turned away from the brand ever since.

Tepui, has an orange tent, enough said, take my money.

Really that's my reasoning for the one I want, as after research I felt they both have strong products, I hear cvt has a pretty damn good customer care but at the same time you hope to never need that stuff.

I always said I'd go Tepui when it came time, but now I'm kind of digging the CVT. Tough decision.

Is that vendor on "other" forums?

It'll take appr. 8 weeks for the tent I want. I haven't done much research in tepui yet.

We were planning cvt. Still deciding.

I also like that rei sells tepui, so if you time it with one of there 20% off members sales that's a good $300 savings.

I haven't used mine yet but I went with CVT. I liked the price and it included an annex with the tent. I can tell you that everyone that I have dealt with has been super awesome.

That's what I did. 20% + free shipping = GOLD. Then my tent was lost / stolen off their truck, so they gave me $75 in gift cards too.

I went with Tepui and am completely satisfied. My first tent actually showed up damaged by the shipper. I took some photos and emailed them to tepui. They had another tent at my door in 3 days.

You can't go wrong with either brand. Pick the options and size you prefer and get which ever one fills your needs best.

Im running 33s on my 1st gen. Sams running 33s on her 3rd gen t4r. Minimal issues besides typical maintenance stuff.

Wait.. you went tepui? Thought you were on the gb for cvt? Which tepui did you end up with?
